30 days of post-adoption care

Every machine bought directly from us carries a 30-day hardware warranty, starting the day it arrives.

What it covers

Hardware that fails in normal use: the machine won’t power on, a component stops working, a port dies, the drive fails. If any of that happens in the first 30 days, we replace the unit with an equivalent machine or refund you in full, your choice.

We’re a small shop and we’d rather be honest about what that means: there is no repair depot and no three-week turnaround. We make it right quickly instead.

What it doesn’t cover

• Accidental damage, drops, spills, cracked screens, damage from a power surge.
• Battery capacity loss over time. The health figure on the unit page is guaranteed at arrival, not ninety days later.
• Software, operating-system reinstalls, or data recovery.
• Hardware you added or swapped in yourself.
• Cosmetic wear that was disclosed and photographed on the unit page.

How to use it

Email support@adoptalaptop.comwith the machine’s name and serial and a description of what it’s doing. The serial is on your certificate and on the underside of the machine.

Machines bought on eBay

eBay orders are covered by eBay’s own buyer protection and our 30-day return policy. The 30-day care is specific to direct orders.

Separately, every machine has 30-day returns for any reason at all.
